Based on the decision of Central Wesleyan’s leadership as well as the recommendations by the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services and Governor Gretchen Whitmer’s office, we are choosing to pause our Parent Commitment Service in efforts to mitigate the spread of COVID-19.
If you have any more questions or concerns please reach out. We are looking forward to celebrating with you soon and will let you know when we have a new date.
Parent Commitment is an opportunity for parents and guardians to publicly declare their desire to raise their children in the knowledge and love of God the Father, Jesus the Son and the Holy Spirit. This event is not just for parents with infants, but for parents with children of all ages! We recognize that not all families look the same. We welcome single parents, foster and adoptive parents, grandparents and guardians who wish to raise their children in a godly home to participate.
Our Parent Commitment class takes place before the ceremony and is a prerequisite for the ceremony. This one hour class will give you, as parents and guardians, insight into what Parent Commitment at Central is. We also provide practical tools and encouragement for raising your children in alignment with God's desire for the family He has blessed you with.
Interested in signing up for our fall Parent Commitment Ceremony? Our next ceremony will take place on Sunday, October 18. Register here.
